Nexus One not coming to Verizon Wireless.

Google updated its phone sales site yesterday and apparently the Nexus One is not coming to Verizon Wireless. The webpage suggest for Verizon subscribers to get the HTC Droid Incredible instead. Since the HTC Droid Incredible has a lot of the same features as the Nexus One.  I just feel sorry for all the Verizon subscribers who held out waiting for the Nexus One just to be disappointed that it’s not coming out. Below is the official statement from Google:

We won't be selling a Nexus One with Verizon, and this is a reflection of the amazing innovation happening across the open Android ecosystem. Verizon Wireless customers who want an Android phone with the power of the Nexus One can get the Droid Incredible by HTC.

I know Sprint has announced in a press release that the Nexus One is coming to their network. I just hope the same thing doesn’t happen to Sprint subscribers when the HTC Evo 4G becomes available. And between this and the 3G connectivity issues of the T-Mobile version of the Nexus One, it seems like Google could have put a little bit more thought into the Nexus One as far as test the device & marketing it. Since the handset has only sold 135,000 units so far. I guess that this show’s Google that people are not ready to buy a phone with out seeing it first.

Samsung Galaxy S could come to all four US cell providers

According to the Broadpoint. AmTech analyst Mark Mckechine the Samsung Galaxy S is going to be available for all four US carriers. The handset is going to come to T-Mobile, AT&T & Sprint in June with Verzion getting the handset “sometime this year”. According the article from Forbes Samsung doesn’t have the brand name power like Apple or Motorola to have an exclusive with one cell carrier, this could be one reason as to why the Samsung Galaxy S is being released on all US cell providers. Another reason is that more then one cell carrier was interested and Samsung decided to bring the device to as many partners as possible. For more information on the Samsung Galaxy S please go to the related post article.
