T-Mobile G2 get's Tethering & Wi-Fi calling update

On my way to work this morning I happen to get an update for my G2. The update included tethering, Wi-Fi mobile hotspot & Wi-Fi calling. Now I have used the Wi-Fi hotspot and while on T-Mobile HSPA+ network. And I have to say it's about as fast as a broadband connection. I have also used the Wi-Fi calling which unfortunately does seem to use your plan minutes. But it's good thing to have if you don't have real good signal in your apartment or home.  I wasn't able to test out the USB tethering with the update, since I use a Macintosh computer. And the usb tethering is not supported for Mac. So how many of you out there have got the update for your G2?

T-Mobile G2's hardware problems.

With the official launch of the T-Mobile G2 only four days away early adopters have already noticed some issues with the hardware.
According to a T-Mobile customer on YouTube & Noah from Phonedog.com, have showed the T-Mobile G2 having issues with the devices hinge.  When the handset is held upside down the hinge will drop. Also when the device is held at an angle the handset’s screen will close on the QWERTY keyboard.
According to T-Mobile USA facebook page some G2 owners have also complained about a memory issue with the device. The T-Mobile G2 comes with 4GB of internal memory; customers are complaining that the device only shows about 2 GB’s of free space. T-Mobile USA responded to the issue on their Facebook page with this statement:
Thanks for the questions about the G2's memory. Here's the scoop: The G2 includes 4GB of internal memory, of which a portion is accessible for downloading applications from the Android Market and a portion is allocated for both the operating system and preloaded applications. You can also store content and some applications on the included 8GB MicroSD card, which is expandable up to 32GB.
