Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 launching on February 10th.

Well if you happen to live in the UK you’re in luck the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is going to be available on February 10th, 2010. This is Sony Ericsson's first Google Android based hand set and will come with a 8.1- mega pixel camera with video recording, auto focus & LED flash, it will have Android 1.6, 1 gigabyte of internal memory, comes with a 8 gigabyte micro SD card, supports up to 16 gigabyte microSD card, a 1ghz Snapdragon processor, a 4.7 x 2.5 x 0.5 inch WVGA full touch screen, supports Bluetooth, supports GPS, IM, MMS. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will feature facial recognition the cell phone will automatically recognize up to five faces in your pictures. And will feature an image stabilizer this will help avoid blurry pictures when using the camera. Although this phone does run on both T-Mobile USA 3g network as well as AT&T's network their hasn't been any word on if this phone will be released in the US market. But if they do end up bringing it to the US and just selling though the manufacture I would definitely pay the retail price for this phone. Judging by the videos below one being a hands on look at the device. And the other is a video taken from the handset & pictures also from the handset which is from Sony Ericssons blog. It’s seems to be a good phone that would be worth the money reason being it seems fast & very responsive, takes good pictures and video & seems very intuitive. For more information on the tech specs of the device & videos of it's features go to the link of a previous post. So feel free to comment on the videos and pictures I enjoy getting feedback from readers.

Sony Ericsson Announces the Xperia X10 Google Android Based Cell phone.

Today Sony Ericsson their first Google Android based cell phone the Xperia X10 in a press event in London, England. The Xperia X10 will feature a 1Ghz Snapdragon chip, a 4.1-inch wide capacitive touch display, and an 8.1 mega pixel camera with LED flash, 1 gigabyte of internal memory and an 8 gigabyte microSD card included which is expandable to 16 gigabytes, also supports Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm headset jack.  The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will run Google Android version 1.6 with Sony Ericsson’s Android based user interfaced called “UX” which stands for user experience on top. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has a strong emphasis on social networking & communication integrations by using what Sony Ericsson calls Timescape. Timescape aggregates your social networking such as Facebook & Twitter as well as text messages, missed calls, emails all in one place though stacks on the screen, which can be filtered by source or by person.  Another feature of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is Mediascape, which puts all of your photos, music and video all in one place in a similar sense that Timescape does for social networking & communication. Also Mediascape will not only gather media you have stored on your phone but it will also gather media online, and also make suggestions in genres of music according to what your listening to. The Xperia X10 will also feature facial recognition, which will recognize up to five faces in a picture and will automatically sync them with whatever social network they are on & also any related communication with that person. The Xperia X10 will have the standard on screen Android keyboard unfortunately there is not a slide out keyboard as a lot of people thought. According to Engadget website site Sony Ericsson plans on putting their UX user interface on future handsets both Android based and Symbian based. The Xperia X10 will have the standard Android web browser and use Google Maps for navigation. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is to be available in selected markets in the 1st quarter of 2010 in both black and white. One thing I did notice in the press release was the cell frequencies that the cell phone runs on, which does support T-Mobile USA 3G (1700/2100) frequencies as well as AT&T's network,no word on if it's coming to the US though. Below is a video of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10  shows  the basic functions of the cell phone, the handset used in the video is a preproduction model of the cell phone, and a commercial for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.  And a  video that  show off the Timescape and the Mediascape interface. To see the press release go to Sony Ericsson website.
