Android 2.1 for Motorola Droid & Cliq could be coming soon.

Motorola has released an update in regards to when the Motorola Droid & Cliq are getting Android 2.1. According to the Motorola Support Forums the Motorola Droid should be expecting an over-the –air software upgrade to be sent out soon. And the Motorola Cliq is expected to get Android 2.1 in the second quarter of 2010.

Seems like  the upgrade for the Motorola Cliq shouldn’t be to far off.  But Motorola seems to be vague as to when it comes to the Motorola Droid’s update.

Motorola Droid not getting Android 2.1 this week

According to Motorola support forums the announcement of the Motorola Droid getting Android 2.1 was a little premature. And according to Motorola's Forums Manager the update has yet to be released, although the features of the update were already leaked. And the announcement on Motorola Facebook page has also been pulled off, which stated that the Android 2.1 update was coming this week.  So at this moment am not sure when the update will go out, but for all you Motorola Droid users out their I hope it's not to far away.

Google Android 1.5 & 1.6 not supported with Google Buzz for mobile

As I just posted early today Google has release a new application called Google Buzz, it's the companies new social networking application. As I wanted to find out what the application was like I noticed that the application doesn't support Android 1.5 & 1.6 owners. The application only supports Android 2.0 and higher, so Motorola Droid owners & Nexus One owners can use the application. But all the rest of us that have a T-Mobile G1 or any other Android 1.6 & 1.5 device are left out in the cold. Is this application that important to Google that they are going to leave out all of those users. And could this be a way of forcing Android 1.5 & 1.6 users to upgraded to the Nexus One? So tell me what do you think?

Even though multitouch is available for the European version of the Motorola Droid since it was released overseas. Since multitouch is a must have feature for Android handsets Motorola CEO San Jha suggested that the feature could come to all Android handsets. So if you have a Motorola Droid go download this update.
