Sprint Announced The Samsung Galaxy Nexus And LG Viper 4GLTE Smartphones

Sprint announced their 4GLTE plans late last year. The cellular company hasn’t announced any phones that will run on their 4G LTE network until this years CES were they announced the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the LG Viper 4G LTE.

 

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will run on Sprints 4GLTE network. The handset will have a 4.65-inch display, 32GB Internal memory, front-facing camera, rear-facing camera, 1080p HD camcorder, WI-Fi hotpot and support for Near Field Communications.

 

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will run Android 4.0, which has some improvements over previous version of Android. Android 4.0 allows users to unlock their phone with “Face Unlock” this will allow the phone to scan the users face in order to unlock their handset. With Near Field Communication support users will be able to send and receive information for other NFC supported device as well as read tags for products and services.  The handset does have support for Wi-Fi hotspot that will give users the option of sharing their handsets data connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices.

Another 4G LTE supported handset is the LG Viper 4G LTE this handset will run Android 2.3(Gingerbread). The handset will also have a 1.2GHz dual core processor, a 5.0-megapixel rear-facing camera, a VGA-front facing camera and a 4.0-inch touch screen.

 

The LG Viper 4G LTE will also have support for mobile hotspot, but it also has support for DLNA, which will allow users to stream video, and photos to other DLNA supported devices such as an HDTV. Much like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus the LG Viper 4G LTE does have Near Field Communication support, and come with the Google Wallet application. The Google Wallet application allows users to input their credit card information into Google Wallet, and pay for products by tapping their handset on an NFC enable receiver.

 

At the moment Sprint has not announced a launch date or pricing information for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or the LG Viper 4G LTE smartphones.
