Vonage supports Android

Vonage has released a mobile app for Android that allows for the user to make calls over Wi-Fi & 3G. The Vonage mobile application works over AT&T’s 3G & T-Mobile’s 3G network, so far Vonage is not compatible with Sprint or Verizon. The Vonage mobile application is compatible with Android 1.5 or higher handsets. The only catch is that is cost $24.99 to get unlimited international calling to more then 60 countries or you can chose the pay per minute plan, but you do get unlimited minutes for local and long distance calls over Wi-Fi. So if you happen to have T-Mobile Even More plan for $39.99 for 300 minutes with the $30.00 data plan and $10 for messaging and then $24.99 for Vonage unlimited international calling it would cost 104.98 a month for both your cell service and Vonage. Now if you happened to have T-Mobile’s Even More Plus plans and you have the 500 talk, unlimited text & web for $59.99 a month and you add Vonage mobile unlimited service for 24.99 it would cost you $84.99 a month for both T-Mobile service and Vonage. Keep in mind that the total cost per month is with out taxes. Seems like Vonage might have a good idea here if you travel a lot and don’t want to have to deal with calling overages you might want to get Vonage for your Android phone. Am thinking about switching to T-Mobile’s Even More Plus plans and getting Vonage since I pay about 80 a month for my T-Mobile service as of now. So go to the Android Market and download this app and tell me what you think of it?
