Samsung announces the Samsung Beam running Android 2.1


Samsung announced at the Mobile World Congress a new Android handset called the Samsung Beam aka i8520. The Samsung Beam will have a built in DLP Pic projector, a 3.7 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 8 mega pixel camera with auto-focus and flash, aGPs, Wi-Fi, DNLa 7.2 HSDPA, 16 GB of internal memory, 512 MB ROM/384 RAM and a 1800 mAh battery. The Samsung Beam will have Android 2.1 with Samsung’s own user interface running on top of it.  Still no word on when the device will come to the US.
